Danza Fuego was founded by Thomas Kennel in 1988. Danza Fuego is not only the name of the band but also the term for concept underlying its project: a combination of original Andalusian Flamenco, Classic Spanish guitar music and dancing theater in varied whole. In this, the typical expression of rhythmical and dance-like basics have been revived, the traditional serious songs of Flamenco are supplemented and extended by new modern stylistic elements. All this has been woven together into a story based on the old Andalusian myths and newly conceived by Thomas Kennel and Manuel Salgado as a stage version.
