Service History
Three years later the Golden Hind returned to England the first English ship to circle the globe. The treasures in her booty laden hold were used to finance the mighty British navy which finally defeated the formidable Spanish Armada.
The exact dimensions are unknown but researchers suggest that Golden Hind to have a full length of 81' 0" beam of 19' 0", and deep laden draught of 13' 0". The total squadron complements was about 160 men.
